military

One of every six people in San Diego County is related to the military – as active, reserve, retired, dependent or civilian employee. It is one of the largest military concentrations in the world. This large military presence makes a positive impact in our communities, but also provides many opportunities for service. The Season of Service will help the Church engage in service to those who most need it.

To find out how you can get involved meeting military needs, contact Derick Hembd.

RETURNING MILITARY

The road home from war can be more challenging than the road to war for both combatants and their families. While the reunion may be wonderful, it is often followed with a difficult period of transition and readjustment. Churches can be a crucial partner in this process. Faith communities can also provide support for those experiencing post traumatic stress disorder.
